As well, some of the recalled products were samples of the Icy Hot that were issued with a promotional package of the 3 oz. size of Aspercreme Pain Relieving Creme. The recall does not involve any other Icy Hot or Aspercreme products.

Chattem Inc. manufactures and sells health and beauty products, toiletries, proprietary drugs, fragrances and dietary supplements. According to Forbes.com, The Chattanooga, TN based company said the number of consumers affected by the product is fewer than 1,800, or a tenth of 1% of the approximately 1.8 million units sold. In fiscal 2007, sales of Icy Hot Heat Therapy represented 2.3% of Chattem's total sales of $423 million.

 Chattem, Inc., the manufacturer of Icy Hot Heat Therapy products, has issued a nationwide recall of its "heat therapy" products due to reports of skin irritation and burn injuries. To date, more than 200 people have reported getting first, second and third degree burns and other skin irritations from Icy Hot Heat Therapy products, prompting Chattem to order the recall.
